Aquatic dyes like Alpine Blue not only enhance the natural beauty of ponds, lakes, fountains, and lagoons with vibrant color, but also act as a protective barrier by limiting the amount of light that penetrates the water, making lake management easier. This serves two key purposes:

First, as light enters the water, everything beneath the surface, including aquatic life, becomes more visible to predators like eagles, kingfishers, and cranes. By using an aquatic dye such as Alpine Blue, the light penetration is reduced, which dims the underwater environment and provides greater protection for fish and other aquatic creatures from airborne predators.

Alpine Blue will limit the amount of light reaching the bottom of your pond or lake. When applied at recommended doses, aquatic dyes will not pose a threat to fish, birds, amphibians, or humans, and will NOT stain them blue.
